Good Thursday, everyone. Our spring pattern rolls on across the bluegrass state as showers and thunderstorms continue to join in on the fun. This is a pattern likely to carry us into, at least, the first part of next week.
Today’s rains are going to continue to cause flooding issues across western Kentucky. Farther east, a surge of morning showers and storms will impact much of the region to start the day. Skies try to clear a while for the afternoon, with additional showers and storms to follow.
Temps today are tough with readings heading toward 80 in the southeast, but staying in the upper 50s and low 60s for rainy areas.

March currently running 3.5°F above normal in Lexington. With this week’s into next week’s warmth, it’s going to rise higher. How long will this above average temperature last? If persistent, with little cold snaps, could end up being a top 10 or 20 warm March. Still pretty early but signs still show more warmth with brief shots of chill.
Suppose to have outdoor activities late this afternoon and wondering when the rain will reach the Lexington area. Anybody have any idea?
