Good Friday, folks. The rounds of severe weather producing thunderstorms are finally pushing to our east. While this is only a break in the action, it’s a welcome one out there today and for most of the weekend. The dry weather comes with a price… the potential for frost!
Today will feature sunny skies taking over with highs reaching the low 70s in many areas.
Another cold front slams in here tonight and Saturday morning with some gusty showers and thunderstorms. Small hail is possible with this action through the middle of Saturday. The air coming in behind this front is cold for this time of year…
Frost is possible Sunday morning and then again on Monday morning. Green thumbs are on full alert.
The chill departs late Monday as rounds of strong thunderstorms bring torrential rains back to the region. This is a pattern that has a flooding look to it through much of next week…
Rainfall over the next few weeks continues to be off the charts…
The week of the 23rd is likely to send a shot of early season heat and humidity our way. Don’t be surprised if we make a run at 90 degrees…

It’s very fortunate that most of the path of the Mayfield twister was in rural area. It would not have taken much difference to have made a more direct hit on Mayfield.
