Good Sunday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are getting ready to kick it up a notch, and this could lead to some issues into the 4th of July. Heavy rainfall looks like the main threat, with the potential for a few strong to severe storms added to the mix.

There isn’t a whole lot more I can add to what I’m seeing from later today through Tuesday. My thoughts haven’t changed much on who stands the highest risk for, at least, local flash flooding issues…

The pattern by the middle of the week is one that can feature clusters of thunderstorms diving in here from the northwest…

Those storms will be feeding on some serious heat developing to our southwest and south. These could become wind and heavy rain producers.

Temps will surge into the 90s for the end of the week, but a cold front drops in from the north by the weekend. I maintain that front may put the brakes on, leading to additional clusters of  thunderstorms. The European Model agrees…
