Good Friday afternoon, everyone. Our cold front is blowing across the bluegrass state and is bringing some wild weather changes our way. This includes a taste of winter weather later tonight and Saturday morning.
I’m not going to rehash everything, we’ve been your one consistent weather source on this change for more than a week now.
The best area to see some flakes late tonight and early Saturday is across parts of central and western Kentucky…
I do expect some slushy accumulation to try to show up on grassy and elevated surfaces. The best chance of that may be along the Interstate 65 corridor and east toward the Lexington and Cincy metros.
Wraparound flurries will then be possible Saturday night and Sunday. Those show up on the Hi Res NAM…
No matter how you slice it, this is going to be a very cold weekend. Wind chills will be in the 20s at times.
I have you all set to do some tracking…
I will have the latest update on WKYT starting at 4pm and will throw you guys another blog update later this evening.
Enjoy the wild weather ride and take care.
Come on Chris, there have been other consistent forecasts out there. You were not the ONLY one calling for snow over the last few days…
True, he isn’t the only one calling for snow NOW, but he did call it FIRST.
Nice to see a Bill Meck acolyte posting their drivel.
Go back and read the blog or look at my TV forecast. Show me another that had talked about it for the same time… every… single… day. I’ll wait
And crickets….
Gotta give to ol’ CB, many times I’ve seen this type temperature swing not pan out from a week away but Chris tracked it first & it looks like this time the forecast is gonna hold up nicely from several days out. Now if only the winter forecast maps can stay this accurate from that far out!
Yeal, it does not happen when a larger storm is involved.
Hold off till after HS football dang nabbit.
Chris called it first ! Wasn’t until days later that local new started talking about the chances
did chris ever put out his 1st ever preliminary winter forecast out or does he only put it on tv?
I know for a fact Chris called it 1st. My husband packed for a business trip Monday and wasn’t going to pack any long sleeves because I was the only person saying it would be cold..snow flake cold. (Which I got from Bailey’s blog) Every other news source was saying different.
Needless to say he threw a coat in the car and then called back to thank me. (Oh he of little faith) I should have let him freeze for doubting! Ha ha Anyhoo…so happy snow is just around the corner. Have a great night Yall. God bless
