Good evening, everyone. It’s a damp and dreary day across Kentucky as low pressure works across the region. This ugly stuff carries us into the weekend as winds get ready to crank up. As we head into next week,  a couple of major storm systems will impact our weather.

Today’s rains continue to spin around a weak low on top of our region, with the main low running up the east coast…

Northwesterly winds will be with us on Saturday and that brings a lot of clouds and showers to the eastern half of the state. You can see this wraparound action coming from that big storm in the east…

The weather on Saturday looks much better in the west with highs in the upper 50s to near 60. Central and eastern Kentucky may stay in the 40s…

Sunday will find another system working quickly across the Ohio Valley. The day starts dry with showers and a storm or two possible in the afternoon and evening, especially north and east. Temps will spike ahead of this system as winds crank to 40-45mph. This could be another wind damage event for parts of the region.

Very windy and milder weather will be noted Monday into Tuesday as another strong storm system moving in here by Tuesday night and Halloween. This will likely bring high winds and heavy rain in here. That may be followed by another winter looking system by the weekend. Let’s check on how the models are playing this…

European

Here’s the wintertime system coming after that by next weekend…

The Canadian Model has a similar theme, but is much stronger with the second/third systems…

The new version of the GFS…

Some interesting looks on the models during this time. Enjoy the wet evening and take care.
