Good Tuesday everyone. Temps have mainly been running on the cool side of things lately across much of the region. Western Kentucky has managed to tap some warmer air of late, but central and eastern areas have stayed normal or below. That trend continues for several more days before we begin to change it up a bit by the upcoming weekend.

High temps today should range in the low and middle 70s for many areas with partly sunny skies. A nice breeze will be blowing and we could fire up an isolated shower or thunderstorm. I like this forecast so much, I’m going to replay it for Wednesday. Keep in mind… our temps should be in the low 80s for highs.

Thursday will warm it up a bit with the real warm air starting to move in by Friday. The warm may become hot by the weekend into early next week. The European Model…

You can see our high drifting off theĀ east coast as our flow becomes more southwesterly with time. That should lead to temps in the upper 80s to near 90 this weekend and early next week. That flow may turn into a moist one and that should lead to an increase in showers and storms for next week. The GFS rain totals for next week look pretty stout across this region…

That suggests any heat we get into could be short-lived.

Have a fantastic Tuesday and take care.
