Good Monday, folks. It’s another week featuring a walk that throws more crazy our way. Instead of brutally cold temps and snow like last week, this week is throwing everything but the kitchen sink. Heavy rain, strong storms, near record highs, snow and a big temp crash are all on the way.

The week begins rather tame today with temps in the 60s, with the potential for a few showers rolling through here…

A few rumbles of thunder are possible this afternoon through tonight. Additional scattered stuff is likely on Tuesday as temps run on the mild side.

The main action moves in Wednesday and Thursday as rounds of showers and thunderstorms target the region. The setup is there for several inches of rain to fall during this time, potentially leading to flooding issues. In addition to possible flooding, strong storms will also be possible during this time. As cold air crashes in from behind, some snow may kick in for a time Thursday night and early Friday…

New GFS

The GFS is putting down a ton of rain for many areas…

The Canadian has a similar swath, but is farther south…

That would be more than enough to cause flooding issues and we really need to stay alert to this possibility as we roll forward.

After a cold and dry break on Saturday, another system rolls back in here by Sunday and Monday…

Let’s add those numbers to the rainfall totals…

Canadian

We need the cold to hurry up and completely overpower this setup or we could find ourselves in trouble. Luckily, the European Ensembles are showing that in about a week…

I will hook you up with updates later today. Until then, make it a great Monday and take care.
