Good evening, everyone. Rounds of heavy rain continue to work from southwest to northeast across the state, with the heaviest rains arriving later tonight into Tuesday. This will lead to an increased risk for flooding across the bluegrass state.
Numerous counties across western Kentucky continue to be under a Flood Warning, with Flood Warnings out for many other rivers including the Ohio…
Minor to moderate flooding is forecast along many points along the Ohio. Here are just a few areas of concern…
The entire state continues to be under a Flood Watch into Tuesday…
You know the drill, if you live in a low-lying or flood prone area, please stay alert to the potential of rising waters.
Winds later tonight into Tuesday will be very gusty and could top 40mph at times, especially in the central and eastern parts of the state.
Much colder air then filters in behind this departing system and that could mean some wraparound light snow for a time Tuesday night.
The setup behind this remains very active, but the pattern continues to trend colder. The late week/weekend setup is turning a little colder…
Let’s get back to the weather of today and tracking the rounds of heavy rain…
Make it a good one and take care.

Only .70 so far as no rain in Harlan since early AM but tomorrow looks like a solid 1.5 to 2.0 more inches down this way. If this verifies, I will see some flooding in Harlan, even if only minor. What makes me a bit nervous is the negative tilt if the trough tomorrow as the low intensifies in the Great Lakes….could be an over-achiever in SE KY! Would this surprise you Troy, Bobt, Andy, Cold Rain, Coffee Lady or anyone else down this way???

Hanks Chris. We fared a little better today than expected. Had a few hours without rain. Can’t say I was disappointed. The general overall attitude where I am is “man I wish it would snow. I’m so sick of rain!” Wouldn’t hurt my feelings either. I hope western KY gets a break. In any event, please stay tuned to weather conditions, and be aware of your local conditions. Have a good, and safe evening.
