Good evening, everyone. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the potential for strong or severe storms later tonight into Thursday. It’s a threat that has some legs, especially later in the day into the evening hours.
The initial severe weather threat tonight is across areas of western Kentucky…
That line of storms will diminish the farther east it gets late tonight into early Thursday. From there, the threat for another line of storms will increase later in the day into the evening, especially in central Kentucky. That’s where the current Slight Risk is…
If we can get some sun in the afternoon, that would mean a bigger threat would exist. Damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes would be possible.
High winds are going to become an issue tonight through Thursday evening. Gusts of 50mph or a little greater will be possible.
I leave you with the storm tracking tools…
Make it a good one and take care.
Wild it was 26 years ago since the blizzard.
