Good Friday everyone and thanks for making KWC your home for all things Kentucky weather. Thursday’s temps were about as hot as it can get in Kentucky during the month of June. Readings from 100-107 blanketed the state and the oven door remains wide open today. The hot and dry air hangs tough, but MAY have to fight off a stray shower or thunderstorm.

High temps today should range from the upper 90s to mid 100s across the bluegrass state. That range is to account for the possibility of a few clouds or a shower or thunderstorm blowing up. Record highs will again be in jeopardy today and you can track it all here on the blog…

Today’s Highs

Keep an eye on Indiana and Ohio for the possibility of a few storms trying to fire and dive in here.

A similar forecast plays out for Saturday with triple digits and a boomer possible.  We should begin to see a bit of an increase in juice by late this weekend into much of next week. The GFS likes a few storms for later Sunday…

The model then shows a similar setup as we get closer to the 4th of July…

Do a little rain dance!!!

Have a great Friday and take care.
