9pm Update
Good evening. I just realized I never posted the map for the SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH in eastern Kentucky. This goes until 2am. Here ya go…

Have a great rest of your evening and take care.
Good Thursday afternoon everyone. Our severe weather outbreak is just beginning to unfold across the Ohio Valley and this will ramp up into the evening hours. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been issues until 10pm for much of the state. Additional watches will likely be issued for the rest of the state later today.
Here’s a look at the watch outline and the latest warnings…
Radar

Damaging winds of 60mph+ will be possible this evening into the overnight. I will have updates as needed and be sending out rapid fire updates via twitter.
Take care.

Thanks for the update Chris.
Todd…A storm brewed up here in Shelby County. It’s been sent your way.
So far it is hanging just to my west, I need it move a little further east and south! Glad to here Shelby co. area getting in on some rain.
Not nearly enough. A good steady downpour that lasted all of 4 minutes.
Northern half of Franklin co getting hammered, a few sprinkles in my area so far, this stuff is training over the same areas at the moment, not much eastward movement!
We are getting hammered here in stamping ground area
Is most of the action going to hang to the south of us? Or do you think there will be further development in mid-Indiana that could make it here?
I was wondering the same thing, looks like the main show got here early?
is this the main line or is development expected behind the line entering Lex. right now???
blinding rain pounding in my area with some winds.
Wow – I realize the evening isn’t over yet – but so far, in my neighborhood in northwest Lex, a storm went just north of us, then just south of us, and now – it looks like another one is going to just barely miss us to the south.
GRRRRRRRR – want rain & to see a good storm
No severe weather for me and likely not any rain either
Test
Wake up Chris! 😉
There are a lot of storms on the radar but I suspect most are not going to be anything to get too worried about. Not much happened up here in the Cincinnati area that I am aware of.
