Good Friday afternoon everyone. The threat for severe weather is on the increase as we head into the evening hours. The atmosphere has recovered very well from the storms of last night and we are seeing new storms exploding just to our west and northwest. These will come riding into Kentucky later this evening and we already have a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH until 11pm for the north.
Here’s a look at the watch outline and the latest warnings…

I will have updates as needed on a number of outlets. Here on the blog, via twitter, my Chris Bailey WKYT Facebook page and on WKYT-TV.
Take care.

Wondering if the bouncy house for our last night of vacation Bible school is going to happen.
Wild looking clouds and very strong winds just moved into Cynthiana… Trash cans and yard furniture blowing everywhere!!!!
The photo from the twitter feed from Portsmouth is AWESOME!
Worst storm of the year just hit Frankfort, 60 plus mph winds hail lightning 2 more inches of rain, WOW!
My farm went from bright daylight to black as the wall cloud rolled over Bourbon County. I was missing one cat so I got to enjoy being bombarded by leaves and small branches. Finally found her. Now I am hunkered down and hoping we don’t lose power. This is our third really bad storm in one week. Is it possible to get rain without major damage?????
Well, Lawrenceburg and Anderson county as a whole has had a rough 7 days. Last Friday we had an intense storm move through that caused widespread wind damage, and then we have two storms roll in one right after the other and both produce wind damage across the county right after some people had just finished cleaning up. Crazy. Still power outages here
