Good Sunday evening. A TORNADO WATCH is now out for much of central Kentucky until 11pm this evening. This watch includes the Lexington metro. Here’s a look at the counties in the watch and the latest warnings:

The remnants of Isaac continue to slowly work eastward across the state. In addition to tornadoes, torrential rains will also become a concern. Localized flash flooding is possible. You can track all the action on regional radar:

I will have updates as needed and will send out rapid fire updates via twitter. Take care
Well so far at my house we have had very little rain had 1 5 min rain yesterday and just had enough rain today to wet the ground. I guess we will see what happens the rest of the day
No more than sprinkles in Frankfort, the more they yell rain the less it looks like it is going to happen here, parts of east KY as always will get hammered!
You really need to smile more! 🙂
Yeah, really, CB. Complaining never gets anyone anywhere.
take a look at NOAA Jackson forecast discussion(you can do a point forecast and look at bottom menu for this, too) ….they are still expecting an event and rapidly deteriorating conditions…aviation discussion is interesting
Under a thunderstorm warning…getting hard rain, some wind, very little thunder or lightening.
Is there a possibility that this tornado watch is extended to the east for overnight, or will that system weaken? Just curious. I hate this, it gets me so worried and scared that I can’t stand it. :/
Wondering the same about EKY…….
The positive is a lot of us got two days at least of the long weekend 🙂
We all thought we would be water logged by now.
Huge wall cloud just went over our house in Carter County, def signs of rotation!!
It rained so hard in Versailles this afternoon that it was just like being in a tropical storm.
Is it just me or does it look like a bow echo is starting to form near garrard county and strengthening. You can see this better if you look at the radar on weather.com
Crazy strong wind and torrential rain about a mile west of Paintsville at the moment.
Hey Frankfort got .25 in. Of rain, got a few showers to go before we make it to 4 inches. Almost forgot 🙂
storm totals have been a little overblown eh?? must be the dry air…lol
1.77″ so far in Frankfort.
Not in my rain gauge, I think someone at the airport is pouring water in that 😉
Just checked gauge up to 1.0 in east Frankfort 🙂
Wow. Looks like my son in Cookeville has plenty of rain! And it looks like a lot of rain is headed to Perry County.
Thanks for keeping us informed Chris!
