Good Friday everyone. This is going to be a brief update as your friendly weather dude has a lot going on in life at the moment. Let’s break it down…
– Scattered showers and storms will roll across the state today as a cold front sinks southward. Locally heavy rains will be a good bet.
– Cooler air works in for the weekend and that should help clear our skies out. There could be a sprinkle or shower later Sunday… especially north and east.
– We will keep an eye on a moisture laden storm across the deep south early next week.
– A trough digs in across the eastern half of the country toward the end of next week and should really take hold into week two of October.

The Mesonet site at Morehead reports 0.60″ of rain going into today.
had a storm move through here about 6 this morning. It left us about an inch of rain in the gauge, and we had heavy rain and small hail to go with it. Just went through another downpour since I got to work. It was a dandy. right now, just cloudy skies and wet grounds (and feet!)

Large spread in rain totals for three day period, along Ohio river some areas 6 inches of rain or more, most areas 1-3 in. Amounts, my backyard missed the those larger amounts but I will take what I can get, hope all is well Chris!
