Good evening, folks. Better late than never with the update, but this one is going to be brief as the main update won’t be too far away from now. We continue to track a light rain and flake maker across the state tonight, with the main system still on track for a Christmas Eve arrival.
Most will continue to see light rain this evening, but some flakes will try to show up across the east and northeast. Here are your radars…
No changes on the evolution of the Christmas Eve system from my earlier thoughts. The late day GFS came through in similar fashion to what it looked like earlier…
Earlier, I shared the individual members of the GFS Ensembles, here’s what the average looks like on the late day runs…
That’s pretty similar to the late day control run of the EURO Ensembles…
Your full update later tonight. Have a good one and take care.
Weird how our local mets are now saying “No White Christmas”-the biggest snows will fall well into the Virginia’s. Are they looking at the same models you are, Chris, or maybe just they’re being elusive so in case it’s a bust, their butts will be covered? (Hope their butts are covered in it! LOL! 😀 )
It is the safe bet.
Rain followed by festive flakes.
