Good Wednesday, everyone. It’s a true summertime air mass pushing into the state over the next few days and this is threatening to stick around into much of next week. This is a setup that will deliver our warmest air since last summer. Bring. It. On.
Our middle of the work week Wednesday continues to find a few scattered showers and storms working across the region. This is embedded within a strong southerly flow, but the main action is still to our west. Here are your radars to follow along…
Highs today are generally in the upper 70s to low 80s across the entire region.
Those numbers continue to climb in the next few days with temps deep into the 80s for Thursday and Friday…
The EURO continues to be the warmest of the bunch, but we do have to keep in mind how this model has a very warm bias. Here’s what it shows for Sunday…
And by early next week…
I mean… that’s really hard to believe areas of the southeast will hit 103 in May. Let’s take several degrees off of what the model is showing on each day. Even if we do just that, we still come up with some toasty numbers.
The longer range finds a little battle going on. If we look at the May 26-June 2nd period, the EURO Ensembles keep things warmer than normal…
The GFS Ensembles are much cooler…
Nothing like a good model fight to start summer!
Have a good day and take care.
