Good Sunday and Happy Easter, everyone.  Our temps continue to run well below normal in what has been a very ugly spring, so far. This nasty weather has a few more days left in the tank before it takes a warmer break later next week. How long that break is remains to be seen, but I don’t think we are through with the spring ugly just yet.

Our Easter Sunday kicks off with temps in the upper 20s to middle 30s. A mix of sun and clouds allows for a slow climb into the 50s for all those afternoon Easter egg hunts.

Clouds will quickly thicken later in the day through the evening as another ugly system rolls in. Rain overspreads the region from the west this evening and takes us through Monday morning. There’s the chance for some flakes to fly along and north of the Ohio River. Look how close the EURO is bringing those flakes…

Here are your radars to follow along…

Those showers will move away quickly on Monday, but the chill remains. Highs for Monday and Tuesday are into the 50s with lows on Tuesday likely reaching the upper 20s.

Wednesday looks like a better day with highs in the 60s ahead of a weak front dropping in here early Thursday. This front brings a few showers and storms with it before it slows down and heads back to the north as a warm front…

Temps behind this will take off with 70 or better possible Thursday and temps into the mid and upper 70s by Friday…

Those warm temps will last into the weekend with an 80 possible. This warm air doesn’t look to have a lot of staying power as the next trough digs in for the closing days of April. You can see the final 5 days of the month look to average below normal once again…

I think a few more of these colder than normal shots are waiting on us as we head into the first half of May.🤬

Have a Happy Easter and take care.
