Good Morning… much of central and northern Kentucky have been upgraded to a WINTER STORM WARNING. This includes Lexington, Frankfort, Morehead and points north. Heavy snowfall will continue overnight and will add up. Several areas will pick up 4″ to as much as 8″ of wet snow.
Keep posting the weather where you live. Take care
Chris – I hope you’re right for Lex metro. The radar is “iffy” to me, but so far so good . It’s so hard to tell where it just expands and then you get holes in the radar.
Take care 😀
Send it a little farther south! Lol All we have in Knox Co. is steady, cold rain 🙁
Chris, How much more snow is mason county looking at ?
This one was certainly Lexington’s overachiever. South Louisville, Bullitt County, and points to the immediate east in Shelby and Spencer county got in a dry slot early on and I’m seeing less than an inch right now in all of those places. The current WSW map shows that really well.
35.9 here in Keavy and a cold rain. I hear so much about the “DOME”……..now I see it LOL Laurel/Whitley/Knox Counties have got it. I am going into Spring Mode……warm sunshine…swimming…..gardening. All of Kentucky enjoy this snow and future snows because we will be basking in sunshine sitting by our pools here in SE KY. LOL
Harlan County, cold rain. My weather station reads 43 degrees F and my house sits at 1773 ft above sea level. Hope Lake Michigan sends us some upslope love during saturday. GO CATS.
Enjoying the snow..Almost 3 inches in Lexington..
This is the wettest snow I’ve ever seen.
Here are a few late-night photos from the tonight’s snow.

Just a dusting here in Richmond. Apparently we are about as far south as the snow goes. Plus it’s more like freezing rain at 411 am. Still waiting on the big one, and I’m not talking 700 WLW!! 😉
Heavy snow falling here outside of Olive Hill. Already about two inches on the ground. Gorgeous!
Sad to say, but this is one of the deepest snowpacks I have seen in 9 years of living in Georgetown. You nailed it Chris.
The WSW is a bust so far in S. Jessamine :-(. Got less than 2″, and now it’s switched back to a cold rain…33.2 degrees.
It’s cold here in southeastern KY so I won’t complain, but as Chris said in his forecast, we’re just getting COLD, steady rain. I’ll take it over unseasonably warm temperatures though!
Everyone who’s getting the white stuff – enjoy! Maybe we’ll get snow next time.
I will hold off posting pics of the rain we got don’t want to depress anybody 😉
I think Bubba is going to smile…
36 and a cold mist in SW Breathitt. You guys can keep all the heavy wet snow. I love snow but I like a good warm house with electric much better. Hope none of your guys electric goes off.
