Good Saturday, folks. Our Memorial Day Weekend is off and running with improving conditions taking over. This improvement will ramp it up in a big way for Sunday and Monday as very warm air takes control.
Our day will start with low clouds lingering and there’s the smallest chance for some mist or a shower in the east. Clouds will break this afternoon with temps warming into the 70s.
80-85 degree temps then show up for Sunday with partly sunny skies. Memorial Day turns even warmer with temps deep into the 80s.
85-90 degree numbers are a good bet to close out May on Tuesday and that carries over into day one of June on Wednesday. That push of toasty temps is ahead of a cold front dropping into the region for Thursday. This has a broken line of showers and storms with it…
Temps come way down behind this front into the first weekend of June as a fairly good sized trough digs into the eastern half of the country…
At the same time, some of the operational models are going toward some early season tropical action in the eastern Gulf of Mexico…

That’s something to watch as I expect the Gulf to be very active this hurricane season. An active Gulf is usually good for some tropical rains around here at one point or another in the summer.
Enjoy your day and take care.
I like the forecast.
