Good Thursday, everyone. Winter continues to fight back into the bluegrass state and will bring a round of arctic air and a few shots of snow. This will make for a perfect ending to a wild week of weather.

Our day is starting with snow showers and flurries with some light accumulation for some. Temps are much colder with readings down into the low and middle 20s. Keep an eye on black ice for that morning commute. Highs today will top out in the upper 20s and low 30s.

A clipper works our way this evening into tonight. This will bring a swath of light snow to much of the state. This looks like a decent little snow maker that will be blown around by arctic winds. A coating to an inch will be likely for most areas. Some enhancement will be possible across the east.

Yes… some of you will likely see a snow day for Friday.

Temps will be near 10 degrees to start the first day of February with afternoon highs in the upper teens and low 20s. Gusty winds will make it feel close to 0 at times.

Another system dives in for Saturday and this should become another light snow maker across our part of the world.

The latest trend on the models has been to send another clipper into the region on Sunday. This one has a lot of dig to it…GFS 2

That could deliver another round of light snow and arctic cold temps.

I will have another update later today. Make it a great Thursday and take care.
