Spring Forward

Good Saturday, everyone. We have a heck of a weather weekend kicking off here in the commonwealth of Kentucky and you will get to enjoy one more hour of daylight on Sunday. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am Sunday morning, so set those clocks ahead by one hour before going to bed tonight.

Temps today will make a run at the low and mid 60s across the western half of the state. Elsewhere, temps will warm into the upper 50s and lower 60s under mostly sunny skies. In other words… today is gonna rock! 🙂

Sunday may be a few degrees warmer, but it comes with a few more clouds, gusty winds and the chance for a late day shower or two.

Showers and thunderstorms will increase from west to east as a cold front works in. Winds are really going to crank as cold air works in here. Will we get a wave of low pressure to develop along this boundary? That’s certainly a possibility…

A colder than normal pattern returns for the middle and end of the week. Here’s a look at the European Model 850mb temp departures…

It may get colder by next weekend and we will need to keep an eye on a few systems dropping in from the northwest. These could bring additional wintry weather our way.

Go out and enjoy the awesome weather and take care.
