Good evening, folks. A mild pattern continues here in the first week and change of February. This was, of course, expected and so is the change coming for the middle and end of the month. That’s a change that leads much of the country back into a winter pattern.
That change back toward winter is now showing up within the range of the operational models. The first change is a cold front moving in with rain and gusty winds next Friday and this will be followed up by another system ushering in much colder air…
That’s the EURO and the Control Run of the EURO Ensembles is essentially an extension of the EURO. Look at the deep troughs digging into the eastern half of the country into the middle of the month…
Some barney colors are showing up with those troughs…
