Good evening, everyone. Another winter storm is just hours away from rolling across Kentucky, putting down several inches of snow as it does so. This is part of a very harsh winter pattern that shows no signs of going away anytime soon.

Our Winter Storm Warning continues through much of the state with a Winter Weather Advisory in the north and northeast. Some of these4 counties should be included in the warning as the criteria of 4″ is now the same for each county in Kentucky.

Here are the current Winter Alerts…

I’ve put together a rough outline of when the snow shows up where you live…

The New Call for Snowfall is about the same as the last one with a general 3″-6″ for the state with the chance for a little more along the Tennessee border counties…

The latest forecast models continue to show a little more spread than I would like to see from them this close to the storm.

The HRRR, NAM and Hi Res NAM all have the same general idea…

The GFS jumped back in on this overall idea but is likely underdone to the north…

The EURO is fairly consistent with what it’s been showing all along…

Light snows with arctic fronts arrive by Sunday night and Monday with additional cold shots next week. The EURO wind chill forecast is ugly…

This pattern is not ready to end and may intensify some the week of the 20th. This is an insanely cold signal from the Ensembles…

I’ll have updates on WKYT tonight and here on KWC later tonight.

Until then, I have your tracking tools including our Kentucky Weather Cams

Enjoy the evening and take care.
