Good evening, everyone. Very nice weather continues across the region today as milder air blows in ahead of a potent late week storm system. This sweeps in with all kinds of rain and wind to end the month of January.
The timeline on this storm remains the same with the main impact from late Thursday through Friday night. A general 1″-2″ of rain will be likely during this time with the chance for some locally higher amounts.
Here’s a look at what the models are seeing with the rain potential…
Winds are also a big player with 40mph+ gusts a possibility, especially Thursday night and Friday morning…
The weather looks good behind this system with temps surging back into the 50s for Groundhog Day Sunday. Temps may hit 60 early next week ahead of a series of storms set to blow across our region starting later next week.
The models still don’t know how to handle these as we have a very wild setup taking shape.
Here’s the latest EURO…
And the GFS…
Enjoy the evening and take care.
