Good Saturday, folks. A front has worked just to our south and that will clean the air up for much of the bluegrass state. You had better enjoy it because the warm, muggy and stormy air fights back in on Sunday. Once it moves in.. it might become the bad house guest we just can’t get rid of. You know… the one who eats all your food and drinks all your… you get the idea.

Highs today will be around 80 in the north and east with lower humidity levels and a mostly sunny sky. Farther south and west, a scattered storm or two may develop as you will be closer to the front.

The warm and muggy air surges back in on Sunday and will bring the renewed threat for scattered showers and storms…

GFS

The threat for scattered storms will be with us through the middle of the week. This is when temps really try to take off…

GFS 2Those numbers are from the GFS and would suggest we have a real shot at hitting 90 degrees in many areas. The European Model says “me, too”…

EuroHumidity levels will be really cranked up during this time and the term “heat index” may come into play for the first time this year.

The threat for more widespread storms will be with us by the end of the week as a front slowly works in from the northwest.

Have a great day and take care.
