Good Thursday afternoon everyone. A TORNADO WATCH is now out for much of northern Kentucky until 9pm. Severe thunderstorms have already developed across much of the region… including areas just to the south of the actual watch box. Here is a look at the counties included in the watch…
It is obvious the local NWS offices did not come far enough south with the county outline as warnings have been issued for counties they chose not to include in the watch. Speaking of the warnings… you can track the warnings here…
Track the storms here on radar…
Damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of a few isolated tornadoes will be with us into the evening hours. I will update the blog as needed and will be sending out twitter updates. You can follow me @Kentuckyweather.
Take care.
Wow no comments yet? Looks like these died out, but are there more on the way?
Afternoon, Chris, and all. Beverly, if everyone is having the kind of day that I have had, they haven’t had time to read the blog, mch less comment! 😉
It has been very muggy and humid here today, with partly cloudy skies. Wind didn’t feel bad at all….saw where the storms were moving across northern KY.
Guess we all get in on that tomorrow, if the SPC outlook is correct. Will keep checking in, Chris. I know you will keep us posted! Thanks!
I give my input on tomorrow’s severe risk on my site. check it out!!!! just click on my name.
