Good Sunday to one and all. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far! Saturday turned out as we expected… mainly dry with an isolated storm or two. I hope you enjoyed the dry weather as our old friend the stormy pattern is ready to return!
Today will feature similar conditions to Saturday. We will add a few degrees to the thermometers and will see a few more showers and thunderstorms than the day before. You can track the storms here…
That will bring us to the new work week and the return of the very stormy weather across the region. Thunderstorms will come our way in waves and these will likely bring the threat of severe weather and flooding rains. That threat for flooding will be my main concern with the week ahead as we are pretty much water logged.
Watch the thunderstorm wave train from the GFS that pretty much runs into next weekend…

Those are just snapshots from the week ahead with plenty more chances for storms in between. This is an active pattern that just will not quit so keep a weather eye out again in the coming days. You might want to add another eye or two to keep up with this pattern. ![]()
I will have another update tonight so check back. Take care.

For anyone that is intersted I was watching the National Geographic Channel this morning. That have a show called Naked Science. They have a new episode on the super Tuesday tornada outbreak in 2008. They spend some time focusing on Ky, I found it to be quite an intersting program. It airs again on Thursday at 6 oclock and is 1 hour long. It is on both Nat Geo HD and regular.
