Good Wednesday to one and all. The forecast remains pretty straightforward as we roll through the rest of the week and into the weekend… the fall cold takes hold. This will likely lead to an end to the 2015 growing season across much of the region.

Winds will continue to be gusty out there today with highs back in the 60s. Temps tonight will drop to the lowest levels of the young fall season, with many areas deep in the 30s…

GFS Temps

Patchy frost is likely Thursday morning.

Afternoon temps will be back in the 60s with that same gusty wind blowing. That sets the stage for another cold front to move in on Friday. That front won’t have a lot of juice to work with, but can touch off a broken line of gusty showers.

The air coming in behind this front will likely end the growing season. Lows will be around the freezing mark on Saturday with our first taste of upper 20s coming by Sunday morning…

Oct Cold

Monday morning will likely feature another light freeze with upper 20s and low 30s. From there, temps head back to around the normal mark into the middle of next week. This is when another cold front approaches from the northwest. That front will likely have another blast of chill coming behind it.

Something may also try to develop in the Gulf of Mexico, and that will be something to watch.

Make it a great day and take care.
