Good Saturday everyone and thanks for stopping by the blog. I have to ask though… what the heck are you doing on here when you could be outside enjoying this awesome weather? ![]()
There really isn’t a whole lot to say about the weekend forecast. Highs in the 70s under sunny skies with lows in the 40s. It’s a great time to get out and check on some of the early colors showing up across the state. Here is the latest from our friends at the state tourism department…
I am noticing some spots where the leaves are running ahead of schedule and our recent chilly snap will speed up this process in the days to come.
As far as the weather goes for next week. It will be windy and fairly warm early in the week as we flirt with 80 Monday and Tuesday.
A storm system will roll eastward by Wednesday bringing some showers and thunderstorms to the state. This has the potential to bring a nice little drink of water to us into the end of the week.
The active pattern I have been sniffing out is looking more and more promising starting with the end of next week then kicking into high gear toward mid month.
I will update at some point later Tonight so check back. Have a great weekend and take care! ![]()

Chris, it sounds good to me. Thanks for keeping tabs on the “Fall Foliage” for everyone. 🙂 Great timing!
Also, I agree with you on the fact that the end of next week will see an increase in our overall active weather pattern.
I see next Thursday as the changeover point. We will see how that plays out.

Its still dark and a little cool to be enjoying the outdoors atm.;) Besides i have to work anyways Ya ME
Thanks Chris for the update and map…the leaves have started to change here in Letcher County.
Thanks Chris for the update.
Super Chilly hear in Wilmore- just bundled my kids up with many layers to go play a soccer game- so many layers their jersey’s are tight!
Happy to hear the forecast will be a bit warmer for just a few days…. new roof coming on starting Monday. Think we will get the kids out to enjoy the Kentucky Horse Park one day while they are busy hammering on the roof! Will be perfect “Horsin’ Around’ weather!!!!
Have a great remainder of your weekend.
To tell the truth, one reason I’m not out is because I have a cold. The main reason is because I just don’t feel like doing anything because I lost my 18 year-old dog, Molly, yesterday. I know she had a good life, but I will miss her.
Sorry to hear that. Its just like losing a “human” family member 🙁
I’m so sorry about your dog RhondaB. I know how pets become a memeber of the family. That’s a lot of years you had with your dog and I know you’re bound to miss her.
Thank you, MarkLex and Patty, I appreciate your comments. It is just like losing a member of your family. It is just nice to know there are other people out there who feel the same as I do about our pets.
