Happy weekend everyone! I told you it would be a nice one and boy or boy has it ever! The next few days will see temps heading toward 80 under sunny skies with breezy conditions.
We do see a good chance for some showers and thundershowers moving in by Wednesday of next week. This has the potential to bring a nice drink of water to the state into Thursday. This gives us something to watch and looks like the best chance for widespread rains we have had in a few weeks.
The call for an active pattern looks good and this starts with the mid week system and may really crank up into the following week as a big autumn storm cranks in the plains and heads east. Could be some fun times the week of the 13th with lots of weather to track. Just so happens I am back working for my old station during that time ![]()
I will update things late Sunday so check back. Have a good one and take care.

Thanks for all your hard work Mr Bailey
Thanks Chris for the update…have a GREAT Sunday.
You couldn’t ask for more beautiful weather than we have had here lately! Thanks, Chris, for your continued hard work.I look forward to seeing you on old KYT.
Where’s the Old KYT. Is Chris coming back to LEX. We miss him bad. Chris keep up the GREAT Work !!!!
Joe, Chris is filling in for WKYT’s weatherpersons who had to be out at the same time. I think it’s only for a week, though.
I was lucky enough that Chris moved to a viewing area I have access to, but this weather center is where I keep up with all the great people from the blog.
Thanks Chris..Maybe your coming back to Wkyt is the reason rain is in the forcast. You’re our good luck charm! We certainly need the precip here that’s for sure. It’ll be so good tuning in and seeing you again!
Thanks Rhonda,Be nice to see him back hopefully to see more of him back… He’s the best and an asset to WKYT… Should bring him back with a big raise.
I think that at the end the most important thing is “Credibility”A man can get a reputation from very small things.
