Good Wednesday afternoon gang. It looks like our Tropical Storm is afraid of the water! This thing is hugging the east coast of Florida and looks as if it wants nothing to do with the Atlantic.
Take a look…
Melbourne has picked up 21 inches of rain so far!!!! Nothing short of amazing… and they will likely get a lot more. More than 2 feet of rain will fall in some areas down here.
Our storm will work it’s way back to the west and into the northern Gulf then likely hug the coast as it slowly heads west.
I am still looking for this storm to try to head our way early next week!
Take care.

Thanks Chris…Fay is one wild rain machine.
thanks for the update on Fay. We could use some rain from this system, but i hope we dont get anything in terms of severe weather.
Thanks Chris. I know its been said many times, but we all truly appreciate all the time and effort you put in to keep us updated (especially with two blogs). As a fellow weather nerd, it is fun to watch Fay from a meteorological standpoint.
Shawn.. I think were all weather nerds on here.LOL..Fay is really soaking the so-called sunshine state… This is good for places like Lake Okeechobee that is over 3 foot below normal. maybe the lakes will get back to normal…
I know if we dont get some rain around here soon things are gonna get crispy, the creek and streams are low, as well as the Cumberland River in my area. But its typical August (dog days) of Summer.
Hope everyone’s family that lives in the path of Fay is alright.
