Good Tuesday to one and all. Well… my isolated Monday storms turned into a nice little line of storms for much of the area. Win some… lose some. If you go back and check out my blogs from a few days ago I specifically mentioned the chance for clusters of storms moving across the state Today. I apparently picked up on something then and should have stuck with it. My mind is fried right now with two blogs… a whole new station and new home. Either that or I am getting soft in my old age.

The title of the blog post pretty much says it all. Thunderstorms and heat will be the main players as we get set to head into the first few days of August.

Our Tuesday will see a return of the hot temps. Highs will flirt with 90 with an increase in humidity and a small chance for a storm. (famous last words)

Wednesday will see a cold front bring showers and storms back to the state in full force. The chance is there for more severe storms and very heavy rainfall. The SPC has much of the region in a slight risk for severe weather…

Some storms will likely linger into Thursday.

The weekend will start off on a warm note with temps in the mid to upper 80s. I am seeing increasing signs of some real heat building in from Sunday into the early part of next week. If the models are correct… temps nearing 100 won’t be too far away from us.

The infamous Dog Days of summer are upon us. But… my Bengals are now in Georgetown now for training camp so fall isn’t too far away.  WHO DEY!

Take care.
