Good Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region today, and this is a sign of things to come. The week ahead looks rather bumpy with more boomers blasting the bluegrass state.

Today’s storms won’t be as severe as the Saturday stuff, but I can’t rule out a strong storm. We will also have quite the temperature gradient setting up from northeast to southwest. Some areas stay in the 60s, while the far west and south make a run toward 80 degrees.

A cold front moves in on Thursday with a line of showers and strong thunderstorms along and ahead of it. That may temporarily put an end to the storms as chilly air dives into the eastern part of the country…
