Good Friday to one and all. Steamy temperatures are rolling back into the bluegrass state for the weekend ahead. This big jump in temperatures will then be followed by, what looks to be, a very stormy pattern into next week. All this means is our run of nice weather is over.
Highs today will range from the mid 80s east to low 90s in the west. There is the potential for a storm or two across the north and east…
Low 90s are likely for much of the state on Saturday as humidity levels take off. Sunday could feature a few storms with a weak front dropping in from the north. That should take a few degrees off the thermometers Sunday into Monday.
From there, we watch an upper level low slowly work across our region through next week…
That kicks the serious heat to our west, but this looks like a tropical atmosphere that can produceĀ a lot of rain and storms. Look at the European model over a stretch of several days…
That same run of the European Model is cranking out a TON of rain across Kentucky…
Wow!
The other models aren’t as extreme, but are still spitting out quite a bit of rain over the next week and change…
Make it a great Friday and take care.
We sure need the rain in east tn.
I know it’s weird how KY gets a lot of the rain and it misses TN – At least here lately. But I’ve seen the opposite happen in the past too. Hey Tim, since you’re in TN, are you going to check out Lightning Rod at Dollywood? Omg it looks awesome!
We already have..it will scare the daylights out of you..lol
