Good Thursday evening everyone. Confidence continues to increase in a late Friday through early Saturday snowfall for much of the state. This is likely to impact travel during this time and will be followed by a blast of arctic cold for the weekend.

Here’s your First Call For Snowfall…ย

Locally higher amounts of 3″ will be possible for the 1″-2″ areas.

For this reason… a Winter Weather Advisory is out for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Her’s a look…

Notice the NWS in Charleston is asleep on the job yet again. Don’t worry northeasternย Ky… you advisory will come after the snow starts falling. #somethingsneverchange

Snow showers and flurries will be likely on Saturday and this may drop a little more fluffy snow for some. Temps crash into the low and mid 20s by Saturday afternoon and hit the teens by evening. Brrr!!!

There you have it… a snowy and cold start to the weekend. Have a great evening and take care.
