Good Thursday evening everyone. Confidence continues to increase in a late Friday through early Saturday snowfall for much of the state. This is likely to impact travel during this time and will be followed by a blast of arctic cold for the weekend.
Here’s your First Call For Snowfall…ย
Locally higher amounts of 3″ will be possible for the 1″-2″ areas.
For this reason… a Winter Weather Advisory is out for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Her’s a look…
Notice the NWS in Charleston is asleep on the job yet again. Don’t worry northeasternย Ky… you advisory will come after the snow starts falling. #somethingsneverchange
Snow showers and flurries will be likely on Saturday and this may drop a little more fluffy snow for some. Temps crash into the low and mid 20s by Saturday afternoon and hit the teens by evening. Brrr!!!
There you have it… a snowy and cold start to the weekend. Have a great evening and take care.
Yipee! Please let BG get some!
This is more like it!!
Fireplace ready – check
Hot chocolate – check
Thank Chris!

HALF RODGER a pway south folks been to warm here and be slower to switch over im afraid here. we see a SLUSHY inch will be like hitting pick 3.
Blurgh. I mean, I’m happy about the snow… but why can’t it do it sunday night… when it matters ๐
I bet this will be bigger than they think come tomorrow, its been constantly changing. Today even, the models & NWS had us in the mid 40’s but we had 30’s.
I love it when the spring-lovers get a teeny taste of what the snowbots have been going through. —> warming trend! sunshine! winters over! mid 50’s! above average temps! winter is over! — and BAM!! Snow. teens to 20’s. LOVE. IT.
Welcome to our world. ๐ We understand your frustration right now.
LOL. ๐
I better get some sleep tonight, because it looks like I won’t be getting much tomorrow. Can’t wait!
I guess winter is not over, Heat Miser is going down this weekend ๐
OK. That does it. Wife and I now officially going HERE tomorrow night:

Ya just need a lil faith ๐
I guess I’m the odd man out this time. I don’t see this system looking any worse in the modeling now than it did yesterday. In fact, surface temps. don’t look to drop below freezing until 4:00 Saturday, and the precip is winding down by 14:00 Saturday, so you’re looking at less than 12 hours for the road temps. to catch up with air temps. I just don’t see it happening.
I’m sticking with 0 – 0.25″ on roadways, and 1-2″ on grass and trees.
Tried posting three times. I give up. Watch this one post. That would be my luck.
yep ๐
Seems has a shot of being a tad more west.
That’s good?
Should be, but this assume it pans out in the first place ๐
I am just going by the trend of the projected result (went from nothing to something for this area).
If CB suggests this in the AM, bank on it. My credit is bad.
Keep trying to post:
Should be, but I am going by the projected result and that this system went from nothing to something for us. If CB suggests this in the AM, bank on it. IF being the key word.
Louisville will get at least 2″ maybe 3″….that line needs extended CB. =-)
Yep, CB appears to be seeing what I was mentioning, but at a professional level (I aint’).
CB is on to it, indeed!!
about time we may see an overachiever
Any good sledding locations b/t Bowling Green and Elizabethtown?
