Good evening everyone. It’s a busy one across the bluegrass state as strong and severe thunderstorms are rolling across the state. These are large hail producers and may also produce some flooding problems. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is out until 10pm for much of central Kentucky.

The NWS in Louisville issued a Severe T-storm warning at 5:44 eastern for western Jefferson county. At 6:05 the storm is still not here. Wow! Thanks for the warning but really folks?
At Clay’s Ferry: Pea to mothball sized hail and some gusty winds accompanied by lightning and about 1/2 inch of rain. Rain still coming down but much more gentle now-springy even! rumbles and grumbles but no strikes in immediate vacinity temp down about 12 degrees and birds are back out doing the bird thing…..
