Good Thursday afternoon everyone. Some nasty thunderstorms moved across parts of the state earlier today and we have more firing up this afternoon and evening. Some of these will be severe with large hail being the primary threat.
These storms will also produce torrential rainfall that can cause some high water problems.

I know its very humid, and muggy here in southern ky. right now with sunshine, and temps. in the upper 70’s…already storm clouds developing…last night was a rough night down here HAIL producing storms racked the area several times last night…hail was covering parts of the area this morning around 7 here in knox co… has anyone noticed the LONG range thru the summer months….below average temps. are expected..
Just Ky. weather luck…nice warm winter, and almost HOT march..and freezes and record cold April with snow on EAster, and Derby Day……you either gotta love ky weather or down right hate it at times….lol.

Yeah I was looking over 2007 again today. March was running very normal until the last week of the month. During the last several days, it became very warm…similar to exactly what we are seeing right now. This carried into April with near-80 readings in the afternoons. Then, a few days into April BOOM the bottom fell out. We were below average for the rest of the month.. even seeing temps. close to 20 degrees on many mornings. It was a heartbreaker after almost two weeks of early Summer type weather. Things sure can turn around in a hurry here in Kentucky.
Chris it got very Dark very Fast in Pikeville with Rain Thunder and Lighting,I sent or uploaded some photos.Hopefully the worst has past its getting a little lighter out but still some thunder Lighting and Rain not as bad.
