Good Tuesday everyone and thanks for checking in on KWC. We are coming off a scorcher of a first week of May that featured rounds of thunderstorms. The next week looks to feature much different weather as we have a much cooler pattern taking shape. The below normal temps may not be in a big hurry to leave us as we roll into the second half of the month.

We have a cold front working across the state today and this will act to clean the skies from west to east. Some scattered showers and storms will be possible… especially early and in the east. Winds will pick up as highs warm into the low and mid 70s for most areas.

The real deal cool air arrives later Wednesday into Thursday. There could even be a stray shower or two with the cool air push Wednesday. Look at the numbers coming from the GFS…

That has a “morning jacket” look to it with readings around the 40 degree mark. Temps by the weekend will warm back into the low and mid 70s with another shot of showers and storms possible by Sunday.

The look to the GFS Ensembles over the next few weeks isn’t a very warm one…

Where was that look about 6 months ago? 😉

Have a wonderful Tuesday and take care.
