12:30pm Update

A TORNADO WATCH is likely to be issued soon for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Stay tuned.

Previous Update

Good Wednesday everyone. Today is shaping up to be a stormy day across the state as low pressure and an associated cold front swings through the region.  A couple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will cross the region today and some of these may be on the severe side.

Damaging winds and large hail will be the primary threats from the storms that may hang tough into the evening hours. If some of these cells get out on their own… an isolated tornado or two can’t be ruled out.

I have set the blog up with some tracking toys…

I will have updates as needed through the day and will send out updates through twitter. You can sign follow me here Kentuckyweather or follow along in the twitter feed on the right side of the blog.

On another weather note… our weather is about to take a turn toward the ugly side with a lot of chilly air and damp weather. Some snowflakes will be possible as well.

Have a great Wednesday and take care.
