Good Sunday everyone. The blog is shifting into full blown Fall Fever Alert! If the weather out there isn’t getting your fall juices flowing, you may want to check your pulse to see if you’re alive. This is a serious case of awesome temps and that should continue for a few more days with another shot lurking in a little over a week.
There is a system dropping across the Ohio Valley today and this will touch off a few clouds during the afternoon and evening. These clouds may even produce a sprinkle or light shower across the north and east.

Highs today will be in the low and mid 70s as our winds pick up a bit. The air on Monday looks a tad cooler than what we have out there today, so we may whittle a few degrees from today’s highs. Lows tonight will hit the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Temps will begin to warm back into the lower 80s by the middle and end of the week. A slow moving system will approach the Ohio Valley by Friday and should give us the threat for a shower or thunderstorm. That threat may carry us into much of the upcoming weekend.
It’s into the following week that we find a growing signal for a big buckle in the jet stream across the central and eastern part of the country. Most of the medium range models suggest blocking starts showing back up and may combine with a huge ridge up the west coast to deliver a stout shot of cool air for the middle of the month. I give you the European Model…

Have a great Sunday and take care.

The southwest monsoon has been really active this summer. A few weeks ago, Las Vegas had almost two inches of rain in one day – they average about five inches a year.
