Good Monday, everybody. Our new work week is off and running on a very mild note as we wait for another shower and storm maker late today. This kicks off a very active weather pattern that skews milder than normal and… Wait for it… Wait for it… wetter than normal.
Clouds are on the increase today with showers and a few storms moving into western Kentucky this afternoon. This action will then overspread the rest of the state tonight into early Tuesday.
Here are your radars to focus on the stuff coming in from the west…
From here, we are in a pattern that looks to deliver showers and storms every couple of days. No, this does not mean we are going to have rain on every single day, but there will be no shortage of systems to track. Rainfall numbers for the next week and change may be up there…
The European Ensembles for the next 2 weeks show just how much real estate looks stormier than normal and wetter than normal…
That’s the look of a very active spring storm pattern!
I will offer up another update later today. Until then. make it a good one and take care.
I am glad the bigger rains are staying west of me, for now anyways.
Looks like central Kentucky could be wetter than last year. I don’t know how much rain has fallen in my part of Taylor county, as I am too lazy to keep records so I just get the totals from the Kentucky Mesonet. Lawn mower gave up Saturday when I was mowing part of the front field, so I will have to deal with that aggravation today. UGh !!!
The problem is we had a drought that killed the effectiveness off it for agriculture. Terrible balance.
Good ole rain train.
Was getting worried it hadn’t rained in 2 days
