Good Thursday, everyone. October is off and running and it’s absolutely gorgeous! Temps are well below normal with a mainly dry sky as we get set for another cold front to drop in from the northwest. This front ushers in even colder air to begin the weekend. The ending to your weekend will feature an increase in rain with another system swinging through here.

Highs today are in the 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Those clouds will increase across the north as we watch a few showers go up into the evening hours. Here are your radars to follow along…

Cold air comes in behind this for Friday as lows drop into the upper 30s for several areas. I can’t rule out some patchy frost, but this doesn’t look widespread at the moment. Highs for Friday may stay in the 50s for many with some instability clouds going up in the afternoon. There will also be a small chance for a shower going up.

Saturday starts in similar fashion with some patchy frost possible, and ends with upper 50s to low 60s. Clouds will be increasing ahead of our next system moving in for Sunday and early Monday. Chilly showers increase quickly from west to east Sunday and the GFS is finally starting to see this again…

The EURO and the Canadian Models have been much more consistent with this system.

Temps stay in the 50s for Sunday and may do so again behind it on Monday. Lows may once again sneak into the 30s behind this, so we will need to watch for this potential.

Another trough will then sweep in here by the middle and end of next week, keeping temps below normal.

Enjoy the rest of your day and take care.
