Good evening, everyone. It’s one of the warmest patterns you will ever see for November and it has a few more days to go before changes roll in here. Those changes mean showers and thunderstorms crank as more seasonal temps return to the region.

Record highs fell across many areas of the bluegrass state and across much of the eastern half of the country. At the same time, a blizzard is raging across the northern Rockies and Tropical Storm ETA is moving through the Florida Keys. Extreme enough for ya?

Here’s the latest on ETA…

You can now see the forecast taking this toward the southwest and becoming a hurricane. That’s what we talked about happening with my last update. This storm will be in no hurry to move inland and you can see just how slow it is on the Hurricane Models…

If you want to follow ETA and/or the blizzard, take the interactive radar out for a spin…

Let’s focus on Kentucky weather for the week ahead. A strong cold front works in here late Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing showers and thunderstorms in here. This likely slows down a bit as ETA finally decides to roll back into Florida later in the week. Here’s the EURO…

The best chance for showers and storms will be across central and eastern Kentucky where heavy rainfall will be a good bet. The models are spitting out some decent totals…

The GFS looks like the odd man out…

The progressive bias of the model knows no season… It’s always there, folks.

Seasonal temps come in behind all this for the middle of the week, but another quick spike is likely ahead of the next storm moving in here. This arrives over the weekend with the potential for heavy rain, strong storms and gusty winds…

Notice the nice shot of cold coming in behind that and I expect that trough to deepen more as we get closer.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and take care.
