Good evening, everyone and Happy Thanksgiving Eve. A gusty line of showers and thunderstorms is rolling across central and eastern Kentucky as a cold front works through here. This is bringing gusty winds and only slightly cooler air for Thanksgiving. The big story is our potential winter storm system from late Sunday through Tuesday. This one is going to be fun to follow in the coming days.
Firs things first, let’s track what’s left of our thin band of shower and storm action…
My thoughts on the possible winter storm have not changed. It’s still too early in the game for anything specific in terms of how much of an impact this will have on our weather. Only the GFS updates in the afternoon and it continues to be the most inconsistent model by far. As a matter of fact, it comes up with something different looking with run. It is still struggling to handle all the energy and produces multiple lows instead of just one low like the other models. The latest run shows what I’m talking about…
The GFS Ensembles look nothing like the GFS and look much more like all the other models. This is the average of 21 different members of the GFS Ensembles…
Again, we continue to see national weather outlets jumping on the potential…
AccuWeather forecasters are growing more confident that a sweeping storm system will take aim at the eastern third of the country early next week, potentially snarling post-Thanksgiving travel.https://t.co/9sctUg816q

I will have the latest on WKYT at 11 and your normal full update after midnight.
Enjoy the evening and take care.
If it does snow it appears it will be a wet snow.
If that barometer pressure is what the models is showing you better be ready more than a wet snow..
