Good afternoon, folks. Our snowy weekend continues across much of the bluegrass state as another upper level low sweeps eastward across the region. This will cause snow showers and squalls to increase through tonight, putting down additional light accumulations. Behind this comes several west-east moving systems for the upcoming week.

Several areas have picked up more than 2″ of snow so far on the weekend and another inch or two will show up by Monday morning. The whole wet to white to wet to white thing we talked about has played out like a charm and continues through the afternoon.

The snow showers and squalls will be more oriented from west to east with the current system moving through. Some of these will cause visibilities to drop to near zero and coat roads for a time through tonight. Here are your radars to follow along…

With overnight temps hitting the 20s, slick travel develops on untreated roads, especially.

Leftover snow showers and flurries hang tough into Monday, making for a 4th straight day of snow in our region. Guess what? We make it 5 in a row on Tuesday.

That’s when another fast-moving system works from west to east into the state, bringing a swath of light accumulating snow with it. This is a pattern that will feature a couple other systems rolling from west to east in the Tennessee Valley through the start of the weekend….
