Good evening, everyone. As the snow continues to fall across much of the state, wanted to drop by for a very quick update on the current setup and the one coming in for the weekend.
The snow shield continues to work across central and eastern Kentucky and some areas may top the 4″ mark before all is said and done. This will be within my forecast area of 1″-4″ showing up, so it’s good to see some of those higher totals in there. Farther southeast, the high ground may pick up 5″+ along the Virginia border.
Roads are a mess. Here are your radars…
My thoughts on the weekend system remain unchanged. Watch for a thumper snow and mix on the front end Saturday evening into Saturday night for some. The late day models are just getting into the range of picking this up…

We are going to have some fun with this one. I will update that later tonight. Have a good one and enjoy the snow. Take care.
Glad to see a forecast finally really materialize across the state. The people want it!
Still snowing, exactly 2″ of fluffy snow in Bardstown atm. 🙂 Very pretty, but wish it would’ve started a tad earlier so I would have had the time to watch it fall for a bit.
Not seeing anything “fun” about this weekend storm in my area, unless you like drying the rain-soaked dogs and mopping up all the muddy paw prints all over the house every 30 minutes or so….lol!
