Good Saturday to one and all. Here’s hoping this update finds each of you living your best life or attempting to live your best life. ☺ In terms of the weather, we are living our best weather day before things change up in a hurry on Sunday. This kicks off a stormy setup likely to bring heavy rain and the threat for flash flooding.

Temps today are into the 80-85 degree range across the state as humidity levels start to come up. You will also notice some clouds starting to filter in from the south as an upper level low inches closer to us from the lower Mississippi Valley. This even has the chance to spawn an isolated shower or storm across our southern counties as early as this afternoon or evening.

Here are your radars to watch this action move closer…

Showers and thunderstorms increase quickly on Sunday and could become fairly widespread during the afternoon and evening. Rainfall through Sunday night show the increase in coverage…

This kicks off a pattern featuring muggy air and tropical downpour producing showers and thunderstorms. With this kind of a  pattern, you typically see the action rapidly increase during the afternoon and evening hours, then decrease overnight into the morning. Heavy rains are a good bet through the end of the week and this may lead to flash flooding issues for some.

The wetter than normal pattern looks to try and set up shop over the next few weeks. The average rainfall departures from the 51 member Euro Ensembles show this well…

The solo run of the Euro Ensembles is even wetter…

The latest EURO Weeklies now go through the middle of July and show rainfall averaging above normal…

The control run of the EURO Weeklies are even wetter during the same time…

Gonna be hard to get any sustained summer heat with a wet pattern like that.

Enjoy your day and take care.
