Good Saturday, everyone. We have a cold front dropping into the region today, bringing rounds of showers and thunderstorms to our way. Some of these storms may put down heavy rains, but the forecast for the rest of our weekend is looking a little better.

Today’s showers and storms are going to be more prominent across central and eastern Kentucky. This is where a few local issues may show back up.

Here are your radars for the day…

The cold front appears to have a little more push to it for Sunday, allowing for some drier air to push in here from the north. Showers and storms are much more scattered and will be more apt to show up across the southern half of the state. The same can be said of Monday and the future radar from the NAM shows this well…

Some better air builds in behind this from late Monday into the middle of next week. Dare I say we may have a few mainly dry days? That happens as another trough develops over us, keeping temps rather tame. Behind this comes another, deeper trough that the models are still trying to figure out…

That’s next trough will get sorted out in the coming days.

Make it a great Saturday and take care.
