Good Wednesday, everyone. We have a few more days of typical summer heat before we change it up in a rather dramatic way. A much cooler than normal pattern starts this weekend and kicks into high gearĀ  for the first week of August. This pattern may get some early fall juices flowing. 🍂🍁

Temps today are back into the upper 80s to low 90s for many with a few of the hot spots coming in a little above that. Humidity levels make it feel a little hotter. Just like Tuesday, a popup storm or two will be possible.

Here are your radars to see what develops…

Thursday is another steamy day as winds gust up ahead of a cold front dropping in here Thursday night. This will fire up a line of strong storms dropping in from the north by the afternoon and evening…

The Storm Prediction Center has us back in the l0w-end risk for a few severe storms on Thursday…

Damaging winds are the primary threat with that line of storms.

Temps come way down behind this for Friday as humidity levels drop from north to south. Highs range from the upper 70s to low 80s, making for a great start to the weekend.

From there, another front drops through and may spawn a few more storms…

This continues to be part of the overall pattern that flips right back to well below normal as we begin August. This is one deep trough and it may very well become cut off from the main flow…

Check out how far below normal the GFS has us for the first 5 days of August…

It is really hard to have a running 5 day average of 10 degrees below normal around here in the summer.

The model continues to take our temps to near record lows early next week…

Bring. It. On. 🍁🍂

Make it a great day and take care.
