Good afternoon, folks. A powerful cold front continues to sweep eastward across the region and it’s bringing very chilly air with it. As the temps drop, it’s time to turn our attention toward the next big system rolling in here later in the week. That one is a big ticket item.

The front continues to push through eastern Kentucky and it’s bringing a few more showers and isolated storms ahead of it. Behind it comes some wraparound showers and areas of drizzle across central and eastern Kentucky through the evening. Here are your radars to follow along…

Some clouds hang tough into Friday with some morning showers in the east. Where clouds linger through Tuesday afternoon, highs only reach the upper 40s to low 50s. Where the sun pops out, temps stay in the 50s.

This sets the stage for the potential of our first freezing temps of the fall by Wednesday morning. The models are showing the potential for a light freeze…

I have zero changes to the idea on the big storm system rolling in here later this week. This will impact our region from Wednesday night through Saturday night with rounds of rain, gusty winds and chilly temps.
